State Roundup Results: Travis Brown and Aaron Lee Consumer Decision Making team placed 19th; Brianna Saenz's team placed 20th. Brianna and Meagan Saenz participated in Leaders for Life and their team placed 7th. Monica Moralez participated in Healthy Lifestyles Invitational. Congrats to all!

So Tx Cattleman's Roundup – Thanks to everyone who donated their time and talent towards this great fundraiser. The county raised around $8000.00
National Santa Gertrudis Show – Sada Engelking participated and placed 18th in her class. Great job Sada!
State 4-H Photo Contest- Meagan and Brianna Saenz participated and received blue and red ribbons. Great job to Brianna and Meagan!
- New Business –
- Changing the date of monthly meetings to the second Sunday of the month.
New 4-H Club Sign – The old sign is very rusty and falling down. It is located by the FFA sign in front of the old primary on HWY 281. It has been suggested that we ask permission to place the new sign in the County park next to the Boy Scouts sign. Do we have a motion to purchase a new sign and move to the new location?- T-shirt Design –
- Nominations for Refreshment committee Chairman
- 4-H Insurance and Background Checks: Motion to have the club pay the $1.00 per member fee for insurance and the fees for Adult leaders? Second?
- Fair Entries – Deadline to turn into Tammy Martinez is September 3rd. Cards/entries must be signed along with cash or a money order.
- Annual 4-H Enrollment for 2010-2011
Each member is required to reenroll on 4-H Connect by September 15, 2010. If a 4-H'er has a fair project and does not complete their 4-H enrollment by September 15, the youth will not be allowed to participate in the fair. The website address is:

JWC 4-H Horse Club is have a horse judging team practice on August 9 at 7:15
4-H Vet Science Project is being revived. Interested members must let the office know by August 23rd to order their manuals
August 16th is a multi-county club and county officers retreat to be held in Kingsville.
August 23rd is the next County Council meeting
August 24th is the deadline to RSVP for banquet

- Adjourn – The next meeting will be held on September _____, 2010. During the September meeting the Martinez family will sponsor and Iron Chef Challenge!!!!!!!
Teen Leader Monica Moralez along with Adult leaders Chris Moralez and Cathy Lee have volunteered to weigh rabbit projects after the meeting for any interested members!
